About Aya
Most people know me as a belly dancer, but my journey has been shaped by creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. I began playing piano at the age of four and exploring movement through ballet and gymnastics, while nurturing a fascination with Ancient Egypt, astronomy, and other foreign cultures and traditions.

At nineteen, I discovered belly dance. Since that day, it became an important fixture in my life and reconnected me with my early interests in Egypt. Along with piano, I also play the harp, an instrument with origins in ancient Egypt, further connecting my music practice to these lifelong passions.

Along with my many years of experience studying Egyptian dance, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from FSU, as well as a master’s degree and certification in Instructional Design and Technology. I am also a Florida State Certified Contract Manager and hold a certification in Scrum methodology. My professional work blends creativity and strategy, designing learning experiences, tools, and systems that engage, inspire, and empower.

Beyond my instructional design and professional work, I frequently engage in performance arts, develop planners and creative tools, and explore music composition. At the heart of all I do is a commitment to crafting experiences, whether on stage, in learning environments, or through creative products. I wish to create performances and products that connect, inspire, and leave a lasting impact.
